Pricing – trick or science?

More and more people rent out or rent a flat via Airbnb, and Uber has established itself on the transportation market. But who really benefits from the knowledge they have about supply and demand in their databases, and what is the science base of the calculations? Ingeniøren has asked Professor and pricing expert at CBS Department of Economics Marcus Asplund. He says, among others, that Airbnb have an interest in getting as many bookings as possible rather than price optimization for the landlords.
