Course content

Purpose

The master module intends to form a framework for the master writing process and provide input for essential parts of the work on the master dissertation. The master module provides essential input for work on problem formulation, process design, data collection and data analysis. The individual workshops act as milestones in the thesis process, with short assignments due at each workshop and preparing you for the next project phase.

According to the Academic Regulation, the purpose of the master project is for students to demonstrate that they can formulate a problem, analyse and process it, collect relevant empirical data and present their results – based on their study plan and the subjects they have completed. The master project must also demonstrate that the students can reflect on the problem’s relationship to their own professional development, their own organisation or role as a leader.

Criteria for goal fulfilment for the master project

The students must be able to demonstrate an overview of context, relevant theories, relevant methodologies and analysis strategies for dealing with the project’s problem formulation.
The students must be able to demonstrate competence in analysing, describing, discussing and evaluating the chosen organisational context for the project.

The students must be able to document and analyse their own professional or managerial development in relation to the specific design of the master’s project.

Requirements for registration

To be able to register for the master project, you must – at least – have completed the teaching in all other MBD courses.

There is no limit to the number of students on the master module. However, the first workshop is held at the end of the previous semester to give you extra time for the process. We therefore recommend that you register for the master project as soon as the registration opens.
