Henrik Skou Hansen teaches within the fields of financial management, management accounting, corporate finance, sustainability reporting, and business economics. His teaching is characterised by a strong integration of academic theory and practical business experience, enabling students to connect analytical frameworks with real-world decision-making.

Alongside his academic activities, Henrik serves in senior finance and management roles and has extensive experience from both the private and public sectors. His professional background includes financial management, business controlling, sustainability reporting, governance, and organisational leadership. This practical experience forms an important foundation for his teaching and research interests.

Henrik holds qualifications in business economics and sustainability assurance and has taught at several Danish higher education institutions, including Copenhagen Business School and Copenhagen Business Academy. He is also an experienced examiner and currently serves as Chair of the Danish External Examiner Corps for Economic and Commercial Diploma Programmes.

His research and professional interests focus on sustainability reporting, ESG integration, corporate governance, financial performance, and the intersection between sustainability and value creation. He has co-authored the textbook ESG Reporting – for Higher Education Programmes and regularly contributes to the development of teaching materials and executive education within finance and sustainability.

Henrik is particularly motivated by creating engaging learning environments that combine analytical rigour with practical relevance. Through case-based teaching, discussions, simulations, and applied business examples, students develop the competencies required to navigate increasingly complex financial, strategic, and sustainability-related challenges.
