Primary research areas

Digital innovation
I study how the development of digital innovations influences and is influenced by individuals, organizations and society.
Social evaluation theories
I study how negative social evaluations, like stigma, can be triggered or managed by (categories of) individuals and organizations.
Virtual dirty work
I study the lived experiences of data workers training AI agents, uncovering the emotional and identity dynamics involved in this process.

I shed light on the hidden consequences of digital innovation.

My research aims at showing:

- the societal conflicts arising from the use of digital technologies;

- how individuals and organizations’ value and strategic decisions shape, cope with or contrast digital innovation;

- how digital innovation influences individuals and organizations’ identity, emotions and social acceptance.
