Primary research areas

Energy transition

Exploring governance frameworks and key enablers that accelerate the shift to sustainable and lower-emissions energy sources.

Multistakeholder partnerships

Examining the dynamics and inherent tensions of cross-sector collaborations designed to enable large-scale system change.

Port ecosystems

Illuminating how port authorities and other ecosystem actors drive energy transition while creating value for their organizations.

I am inspired by the hard work of many in climate action, and I seek to contribute through timely research.

I am a PhD fellow at the Department of Strategy and Innovation at CBS. As part of the Ports as Energy Transition Hubs (POTENT) project and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network, I strive to produce interdisciplinary research and knowledge to help:

- port authorities consider how value and opportunities might emerge at the interaction of different sectors and economic activities

- policymakers make informed decisions that advance a lower-emissions and just transition

- firms and NGOs coordinate efforts through effective collaborations.

I am also affiliated with CBS Maritime, a cross-departmental platform that brings together and applies research-based knowledge to support management, organizational, and policy development in the maritime sector.

Prior to joining CBS, I worked in the field of corporate sustainability within the shipping sector in Hong Kong and conducted research on Canadian climate politics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

Recent research projects

Ports as Energy Transition Hubs (POTENT) Doctoral Network

The POTENT Doctoral Network is a research project funded by the European Commission through a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) grant. The project aims to understand how ports can support and accelerate Europe’s clean energy transition.
