My research interests sit at the intersection of sustainability, the circular economy, and finance. My PhD project investigates the return, risk, and resilience implications of circular economy strategies from a financial perspective.

Circular strategies and business models remain difficult to assess from a financial perspective, which makes it harder for companies and investors to evaluate them on equal footing with linear approaches. My work addresses this challenge through surveys and interviews with practitioners, as well as financial assessments.

With my work, I aim to contribute to the evidence-based and measurable evaluation of circular business models and strategies that, through their implementation, have the potential to reduce negative impacts on nature and the environment, while also strengthening the resilience and independence of the entities implementing them.

Before joining CBS, I worked in sustainability consulting as well as in different areas of development cooperation, across the private sector, government, and non-governmental organizations.
