Bridging Europe and Japan in green transformation

I am an Assistant Professor of Japanese Business at Copenhagen Business School and an affiliated researcher at the European Institute of Japanese Studies, Stockholm School of Economics. My research explores the acceleration of green transformation, especially in a Europe–Japan context, and innovation management practices, focusing on cross-industry innovation and innovation failure. I study green technology investment, cross-border strategies, geopolitical dimensions, and regional development, as well as how firms leverage inter-disciplinary innovation and innovation failure.

Before academia, I held corporate leadership roles in clean-tech, biotech, and manufacturing, and advised companies on market expansion in Asia and the Nordics. I hold a B.A. in Economics, an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Osaka University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
