Primary research areas
Digital sustainability
The focus on the socio-technical perspectives of the green agenda investigates how digital applications, tools and data can contribute to sustainability initiatives in organizations and among individuals. Part of the digital sustainability research is a focus on technologies which can do environmental harm.
Digital hangovers
The “digital hangovers” theme focuses on a critical examination of impacts of digitalization and information technology in organizational and societal contexts. It invites a nuanced reflection of the digitalization of everything in the private and public sphere.
Digital sustainability
My approach to the study of digital sustainability focuses on how the use and governance of digital technologies lead to environmental impacts. Through empirical studies of digitalization and sustainability my aim is to highlight the potential for sustainable practices from the use of Information Systems. Ultimately, promoting long-term societal well-being and the cultivation of awareness and leadership for sustainable tech use.
