Primary research areas

Cultural Economics, management, policy and entrepreneurship

Cultural economics is concerned with the economic organization of the cultural and creative sector and with the behavior of producers, consumers and governments in that sector. In my research, I draw on different fields of economics as well as other disciplines and a wide range of approaches.

Her research spans a wide range of topics within cultural economics, including:
• Labor markets for artists and creative professionals
• Non-market valuation of cultural goods
• Cultural capital externalities and public value
• Arts participation and consumer behavior
• Cultural policy and public funding systems
• Creative industries and entrepreneurship
• Art markets and performing arts economics
• Culture in urban and regional development

In my research, I want to understand consumers’ and producers' behavior in the cultural and creative industries with the aim of providing knowledge for management of organizations as well as governance and policy.

My research helps:

- providing better evidence as a basis for decision making in the cultural sector

- understanding values and value creation in the cultural and creative sector

- understanding the behavior of creators and producers

- understanding the impact of new technologies on the cultural and creative sector
