Profile Description
I am a trained architect and a visiting doctoral fellow from Florida International University who is studying the intersection of digital design and traditional craft. My research draws from social science theories to understand design and craft practices. Alongside academia, I have led a successful design studio and continue consultancy for luxury craft and tech businesses. With my extensive experience as an entrepreneur and in working with start-ups, I bring practical tools and hands-on experience in design thinking, cross-cultural work, social innovation ventures, brand experience design and storytelling to students of management, innovation and strategy.
Over a decade of experience working as guest faculty in India and Europe.
Curriculum development and course development for foundation in design and design specialization for engineering design programs at India’s top technical university, IIT Madras.
Teaching in design studio formats, hands-on workshops working with material like wood, clay, paper, composites, software tutorials and labs, design research methods, computation design approaches, user research, ethnography for design, cultural sustainability, design histories. Use theater, thinking through making and play methods in classrooms.
I have guided and been on juries for thesis projects and industry projects in architecture and engineering design. I have been a mentor for award winning competition projects and career guidance. I have done courses in Active Participation as exam format and Master thesis supervision at CBS.
I teach Service Development for the BSc in Business Administration and Service Management and supervise the projects.
