Om oplægget

CBS Library Forum is very happy to welcome back Professor Eddie Ashbee from the Department of International Economics, Government and Business for a talk on the upcoming US midterm elections, one of the most closely watched political events of the year.

The elections will help determine the balance of power in Washington and influence the direction of American politics over the coming years. The outcome is likely to affect legislative priorities, foreign policy, economic policy, and the United States' role on the international stage.

The election campaign is taking place against a backdrop of continued debate over the fairness of the electoral process. Questions surrounding President Trump's efforts to influence election administration, together with the widespread use of partisan gerrymandering in many states, have intensified debates about democratic representation and electoral integrity.

In this talk, Eddie Ashbee will help us make sense of the dynamics shaping US politics, discuss the possible outcomes of the midterm elections, and consider their implications for the United States and beyond.
