Denmark's green transition is one of the country's most significant long-term policy challenges, requiring difficult choices and sustained political commitment.
That is why we are excited to welcome to CBS Library Forum Peter Møllgaard, Chair of the Danish Council on Climate Change and President of Copenhagen Business School, who will offer his insights into the Council's work, the evidence underpinning its recommendations, and the progress Denmark has made towards its climate goals.
Established under the Danish Climate Act, the Danish Council on Climate Change is an independent body of experts that advises the government on climate policy and assesses whether Denmark is on track to meet its legally binding climate targets. In addition to its annual assessments, the Council contributes to the public debate through analyses and recommendations on Denmark's transition to a low-carbon society.
The talk will also explore the challenges that remain and the ambitions that continue to shape Denmark's path towards a low-carbon society.
