The Centre for Business and Development Studies is excited to share that CBS actively collaborates with the EMMA4EU (Innovation Alliance for training programmes for deforestation-free supply chains in Europe) consortium, comprising 11 partners globally.
Emma4EU's primary role includes contributing to the development of training modules, supporting project dissemination activities, including awareness workshop and evaluating both the process and the overall project outcomes. By diligently analyzing data from partners, they provide essential feedback to ensure project alignment with its plan and schedule. Together with consortium partners, they contribute to the development of a robust research and assessment framework, drawing on scientific literature on impact assessment and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) dimensions, including metrics and biodiversity-related financial risks in Deforestation-Free Supply Chains (DFSCs), and supporting related joint analyses and publications.
As part of the EMMA4EU project, EMMA4EU partner university Wageningen University & Research has created a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to support students and professionals from all over the world in driving real change toward a more transparent, responsible, and sustainable global trade system.
This course equips you with the knowledge and practical tools to navigate the challenges of implementing the European Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) and achieving deforestation-free supply chains. Through real-world examples and interactive learning, you will learn how businesses can align sustainability commitments with compliance requirements.
Officially enrolled students from EMMA4EU university partner institutions (University of Padova, Wageningen University, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Copenhagen Business School, Makerere University) can access the MOOC’s verified track for free. Please enroll in the MOOC using your institutional email address, and email info@emma4eu.eu to indicate your university, the email you used to enroll, and your request to activate the verified track. Please Cc that email to ku.msc@cbs.dk.
