Præsentation

Professor Ringberg har taget sin MBA, M.A. (psykologisk antropologi) og ph.d. i marketing på amerikanske universiteter. Han publicerer artikler i topklasse internationale akademiske forretningstidsskrifter, såsom Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Management Studies, Annals of Tourism Research, Research in the Sociology of Organisations. Han laver regelmæssigt reviews for en række førende tidsskrifter og holder foredrag på internationale konferencer om forbrugeradfærd såsom Association of Consumer Research (ACR) og American Marketing Association (AMA).

Han underviser i master- og ph.d.-kurser samt kurser i CBS Executive- og CBS Summer-programmer og har vundet adskillige undervisningspriser i USA og Danmark. Ringberg arbejder også for førende amerikanske og europæiske organisationer. Han specialiserer sig i, hvordan legemliggjort kognition (sanserne) og dybtliggende neurale netværk (mentale modeller) påvirker forbrugernes og ledernes underbevidste motiver og konceptualiseringer i alle aspekter af markedet. Et eksempel er, hvordan ledernes særlige tankegang påvirker den strategiske brug af ny teknologi og Big Data. Et andet eksempel er, hvordan nye tankesæt over for nye teknologier kan føre til meget forskellige innovative resultater. Han arbejder med ledelses-, turisme- og forbrugerforskning. Han har vundet Best in Practice Awards fra American Marketing Association/Milwaukee (AMA), baseret på hans rådgivningstilgange og deres strategiske implikationer for brands. Hans forskning er bl.a. offentliggjort i medier som U.S.News & World Report, CBCNews, Videnskab.dk.

Ringberg er medlem af det danske konkurrenceråd og tidligere medlem af CBS Academic Council. Han leder lederpanelet på Finlands Akademi ved evaluering af finansieringsansøgninger samt ansvarlig for Torben og Alice Frimodt Founden, der støtter projekter inden for videnskab, miljø-NGO'er og humanitære spørgsmål. I sine præakademiske år medvirkede Ringberg til opstart af en række virksomheder og blev senere headhuntet af Egon Zehnder Int. til at arbejde for et schweizisk selskab som marketingchef. Han var også involveret i projekter for bevarelse af regnskoven og arbejdede for internationale NGO'er såvel som for Nepenthes (nu www.forestsoftheworld.org), hvor han co-initierede finansieringen til og etableringen af ​​Tortuguero National Park i Costa Rica.
