With a renewed accreditation, CBS keeps the Triple Crown status, held by only few of the world’s business schools

Copenhagen Business School has had its EQUIS accreditation renewed for the next five years.

The decision from the EQUIS Accreditation Board places CBS in the exclusive group of business schools that have achieved all three international accreditations: EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.

Only around one percent of business schools worldwide hold the Triple Crown status.

“We are very pleased to retain EQUIS and our Triple Crown status, as it confirms that CBS delivers research and education at a level that matches the best business schools in the world. The Triple Crown status is not a goal in itself but a foundation that enables us to attract talent, form high-level partnerships and create real value for the business community and society,” says President Peter Møllgaard.

EQUIS panel commends CBS’ focus on societal challenges

The EQUIS accreditation assesses the quality of business schools across research, education, internationalisation and collaboration with the business community.

In its latest evaluation, the international panel highlights CBS’ clear interdisciplinary profile as well as the ability to translate the strategy We transform society with business into practice through programmes and partnerships.

The panel especially points out that CBS addresses key societal challenges, from sustainable transition and technological development to geopolitics and responsible leadership, through highly relevant research and teaching.

The panel also notes CBS’ strong commitment to collaboration with companies, public authorities and international institutions, which gives students and researchers access to real-world challenges and a global context. This contributes to CBS graduates being in demand in Denmark but also internationally.

With the renewed accreditation, CBS continues its work to develop programmes and research that enable the university to be a constructive contributor to society and an attractive partner for organisations wishing to shape the future.

“EQUIS comes with responsibility. It is our duty to continue delivering knowledge and graduates who can address real challenges in the world we are part of,” says Peter Møllgaard.
