Project Officer / AC-fuldmægtig

Unit
Department of Business Humanities and Law
Application deadline
Copenhagen Business School’s Department of Business Humanities and Law invites applications for a time-limited position as AC-fuldmægtig / Project Officer connected to the research environment on Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society. The offer is for a limited time period from 1 August to 31 December 2026.

The position concerns a defined and temporary dissemination and research-support task. The Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society environment has designed, developed, and implemented key societal impact initiatives through website, social media presence, academic and journalistic publications. These activities are now entering critical finalization phases and require dedicated project officer support to ensure completion, coordination, and effective dissemination to academic, industry, and wider societal audiences. The position will also support PhD students and postdoctoral researchers affiliated with the project.

Who we are

The candidate will be a member of the Department of Business Humanities and Law. Core research areas of the Department are organized into different research units: Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership; Governance, Culture and Learning; and Law. What unites the Department is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments: work, nature, economy, civil association, the state, and corporation. BHL also participates in numerous interdisciplinary cross-CBS activities. In line with this concern, the position should demonstrate a capacity to bridge across several of these environments and place the human at the heart of the project.

Within the Department, Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society examines entrepreneurship as a societal phenomenon and explores how entrepreneurial practices, narratives, and institutions shape economic, cultural, and social life. The project involves collaboration with researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, academic partners, and industry stakeholders. It places strong emphasis on research dissemination, societal impact, and engagement with audiences beyond academia.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a structured, independent, and communicative Project Officer who can support the finalization of the project’s dissemination activities and contribute to the coordination of research-related tasks. A master’s degree, ideally in entrepreneurship or a related field, is required.

The ideal candidate has experience with project coordination, research communication, stakeholder engagement, and academic dissemination. The candidate should be able to work across research, administration, marketing, and external collaboration, and should be motivated by helping academic knowledge reach relevant audiences in society.

What we work with

The project works with entrepreneurship, society, narratives, institutions, and the role of entrepreneurship in addressing contemporary societal challenges. A key part of the work concerns how research insights are communicated to academic audiences, students, practitioners, industry partners, policymakers, and the wider public. For these activities, knowledge of social media communication, visualization, and storytelling are required, and relevant software tools should be familiar to the candidate.

The Project Officer will contribute to ensuring that the project’s dissemination outputs are completed professionally and that ongoing research activities are supported efficiently.

Key responsibilities

The main tasks and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Supporting the project’s web and social media presence and ensuring coherent communication across relevant channels.
  • Coordinating publication-related activities, including support for formatting, metadata, and dissemination plans.
  • Supporting the finalization of dissemination outputs aimed at academic, industry, and societal audiences.
  • Assisting with communication to academic and industry partners who are actively engaged with and following the project’s dissemination efforts.
  • Supporting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with research-related tasks, including coordination, communication, planning, and dissemination.
  • Supporting internal project coordination, including timelines, follow-up, documentation, and reporting.
  • Contributing to the preparation of material for stakeholders, funders, collaborators, and wider audiences.
  • The position combines academic influencing, marketing, administration, research support, and stakeholder coordination. The exact distribution of tasks may vary depending on project needs during the employment period.
Requirements – experience, qualifications, and personal skills

We emphasise the following qualifications:

  • A relevant academic degree at master’s level or equivalent, ideally in entrepreneurship or a related field.
  • Experience with project coordination, preferably in a university, research, or knowledge-intensive environment. Prior work with an entrepreneurship research environment is a plus.
  • Experience with research communication, dissemination, or societal impact activities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Other languages, notably Danish and German, are not required but appreciated.
  • Ability to communicate academic content clearly to different audiences.
  • Experience with websites, social media, newsletters, or other digital communication platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder communication and collaboration with external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines and parallel tasks.
  • Experience supporting researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, or academic projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship studies, organisation studies, innovation, business humanities, or related fields is an advantage.

Personal skills:

  • You work independently and take responsibility for completing tasks.
  • You are structured, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • You are proactive and able to follow up on ongoing activities.
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative academic environment.
  • You are comfortable communicating with researchers, students, administrative colleagues, and external partners in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • You are flexible and able to adapt to changing project needs.

What we offer

We offer a workplace characterized by academic engagement, collaboration, and openness. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic research environment at Copenhagen Business School and will contribute to a project with strong societal relevance and an active network of academic and industry partners.

We offer:

  • A varied position combining project coordination, communication, dissemination, and research support.
  • Close collaboration with researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and external partners.
  • The opportunity to contribute to the finalization of a research project with societal impact.
  • Insight into academic project management, research dissemination, and externally funded research activities.
  • A professional and collegial work environment at Copenhagen Business School.
Salary and terms of employment

Appointment and salary will follow the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the relevant organisation, with classification and salary depending on qualifications and experience. Upon employment, it will be possible to negotiate additional personal allowances. The position is part-time, with a weekly working time of 30 hours.

The position is time-limited for the period from August 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
