Innovation, Strategy, and Platforms:
My research looks at how organizational and market structures influence the strategies and performance of startups and other innovation-driven agents. I focus in particular on how entrepreneurs and investors make decisions in fast-changing and platform-based environments, where cooperation and competition often overlap.

Entrepreneurial Finance and Venture Outcomes
I also study how financing arrangements shape the development of new ventures. One part of this work examines how the mix of investors behind a startup affects its access to resources and its ability to innovate. To explore these questions, I combine statistical analyses with interviews that bring in the perspectives of key actors.
