About
Primary research areas
My goal is to empower people in making sustainable choices
I'm fascinated by how the way we communicate the world shapes how we perceive it and act on it—especially when it comes to sustainable choices.
My work is grounded in behavioral science, drawing on judgment and decision-making and environmental psychology. I hold a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and an M.Sc. in Social, Work, and Communication Psychology. Using online, lab, and field experiments, I apply quantitative methods to explore individual choices. I'm part of the Consumer and Behavioral Insights Group (CBIG) at the Centre for Sustainability at CBS.
My research focuses on food sustainability and extends to inequality (mis)perception, climate justice, green policy support, behavioral finance, and prosocial behaviors like charitable giving.
Through my work, I aim to:
– Help citizens recognize how cognitive and emotional biases shape their choices
– Support more sustainable, meaningful decisions
– Guide companies in designing smarter, more citizen-focused communication strategies
