Leadership. Trust. Collaboration.

I study the pragmatic and strategic efforts leaders and managers put into facilitating collaboration and trust-building within and between organizations. My research facilitates understanding and conversation between leaders, politicians, the public, and employees. Currently, I am researching how collaborative leadership can build partnerships that potentially can benefit public health outcomes. Methodologically, I use organizational ethnography, interviews, document analysis, social network analysis, mixed methods and literature review methods (including meta-analysis). My work contributes to broader discussions on how public organizations navigate collaboration in pursuit of societal and organizational outcomes, and how leadership and trust shape the potential for effective public organizations and cross-sector partnerships. This includes questions relevant for students, practitioners, and researchers interested in navigating complex collaborative environments.
