Transforming crises into opportunities

My research interests are situated at the nexus between Political Economy and Economic Geography. With the goal of transforming the climate and geopolitical crises into opportunities for industrial development and economic growth, I am particularly interested in supply chains for Critical Raw Materials (CRMs).

With China's rare earths industry as an empirical case, my work looks into the dynamics that allow a producer of strategic minerals to upgrade towards higher value added positions, such as those related to green technologies. The results of my research aim at informing industrial actors and policymakers about how to build resilient supply chains for critical minerals and green technologies
