Intersectional perspectives on matters of social and environmental justice
I look at social change aiming to create just and carbon-neutral societies.
My research examines how collective commitment is generated and sustained in fluid, non-hierarchical forms of organizing, such as social movements and grassroots initiatives addressing grand societal challenges. I am particularly interested in the emotional and symbolic dimensions of collective action that binds people to a shared cause and motivates continued involvement. I mainly work with qualitative methods.
