Communication as a Tool for Real-World Impact

I help students, professionals, and organizations use communication as a strategic tool for real-world impact. My academic work focuses on how clear, purposeful communication can foster understanding, collaboration, and change—especially in complex or cross-disciplinary environments. Whether through teaching, mentoring, or curriculum development, I aim to make communication and digitalisation a practical, value-creating skill.

Bridging Theory and Practice in Teaching

With more than 20 years of experience from organizations such as Maersk, Novo Nordisk, Rambøll, KL – Local Government Denmark, and Kommunikationsforum, I bring applied insights into the classroom. I have been teaching at CBS since 2003—initially from 2003 to 2011, and again from 2017 to the present—across programmes such as Digital Management, HA(kom), and HA(psyk). I lead courses in media and communication, digitalization, coordinate internships, and supervise projects at all levels, including bachelor and master level. My focus is on bridging theory and practice so that students leave CBS ready to make an informed and professional difference. I’m especially motivated by helping students grow—both as professionals and as people. I help students develop independent thinking, hands-on communication skills, and the confidence to face real-world challenges—with a high level of personal dedication in everything I do. Many of the projects I supervise explore how communication can enable transformation—whether in leadership, digitalisation, or sustainability efforts. In addition to my teaching, I have served for several years as a member of a CBS study board, contributing to programme development, quality assurance, and student engagement.

Teaching with Purpose and Personal Presence

As part of CBS’ ambition to deliver high-quality teaching, I also contribute to the development of my colleagues’ teaching practice. I am involved in internal teaching-related training and knowledge sharing, and I have completed the internationally recognised HETEP programme (Higher Education Teaching & Educational Practice). I’m proud to have been recognised for my teaching through positive student feedback and a nomination for the CBS Best Teaching award. I bring myself into my work—drawing on personal experience, curiosity, and engagement to create learning environments that are both relevant and inspiring.
