Social Entrepreneurship Education (sustainable entrepreneurship education): competencies for societal change makers to drive sustainable development
Social and sustainable entrepreneurship enables social innovation. Social entrepreneurship education develops the skills and mindsets to address societal challenges. A social entrepreneurship competency scale assesses the perceived competency development to facilitate learning and education and how this leads to outcomes, e.g., organizational performance and societal impact.
Sustainability in Higher Education and Responsible Management Education
Beyond sustainable and social entrepreneurs, each decision maker in business can contribute to Sustainable Development. Implementing sustainability in higher education, especially responsible management education enables the graduates to become responsible decision-makers to enable the sustainability transition of business.
Sustainability transformation in organisations through sustainability innovations
Identifying barriers and drivers to innovation related to external stakeholders, the organization, and individuals helps develop strategies for successfully implementing innovation. The multilevel barrier and driver analysis was applied for a variety of sustainable innovation (e.g., green procurement, sustainable operations, save wastewater use in agriculture) in private and public organisations in different countries.

Advancing sustainable development through social entrepreneurship, sustainable management, and responsible management education

Aurora was formed in 2016 as a consortium of research-intensive universities deeply committed to the social impact of their activities, and with a history of engagement with their communities.

As 9 universities working together, Aurora universities aim to harness our academic excellence to influence societal change through research and educational activities – and ultimately to contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goals.

Anne-Karen Hueske takes on leadership roles and contributes to task teams to facilitate social entrepreneurship education with short-term mobility and interdisciplinary courses, assess perceived social entrepreneurship competency development of learners, and assess the impact and quality of higher education in the Aurora universities.
