Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship
Application deadline

About the role

Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) at CBS is looking for a Development Consultant with a focus on Fintech to serve as our Fintech Ambassador under the Nordic Fintech Center partnership between CBS and Copenhagen Fintech. Similar partnerships with DTU, KU and AU are launching in parallel.

This is a newly established position aimed at strengthening the bridge between academia, entrepreneurship, and the fintech sector – harvesting synergies for CBS researchers, students, and startups with the broader innovation ecosystem around Copenhagen Fintech.

The Fintech Ambassador will play a key role in developing new projects, partnerships, and entrepreneurial activities within the field of financial technology, combining CBS’ academic strengths with the dynamic fintech ecosystem in Denmark and the Nordics.

Key responsibilities

The position is divided into three main areas of focus (approx. one-third each):

1. Startup & Business Development

  • Provide hands-on business development support to fintech startups emerging from CBS’ student and researcher programs at CSE.
  • Help identify and mature promising fintech cases and connect them to Copenhagen Fintech’s startup programs, incubators, and investor networks.
  • Facilitate matchmaking between startups, mentors, corporate partners, and investors in the fintech ecosystem.

2. Strategic Development & Partnerships

  • Drive cross-institutional collaboration between CBS and Copenhagen Fintech by initiating new projects, research collaborations, and educational initiatives in the fintech space.
  • Explore and develop synergies across CBS departments, Copenhagen Fintech’s member network, and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the establishment of new interdisciplinary partnerships, hackathons, and innovation activities that promote fintech-related entrepreneurship and applied research.

3. Ecosystem Engagement & Representation

  • Act as a liaison officer between CBS, Copenhagen Fintech, and the wider Nordic Fintech Center network.
  • Participate in the shared Fintech Ambassador team coordinated by Copenhagen Fintech’s R&D division.
  • Represent CBS and CSE in cross-organizational meetings, events, and working groups.
  • Co-organize fintech-related events, symposia, and educational sessions that connect CBS students and researchers with the fintech industry.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong combination of entrepreneurial mindset, ecosystem understanding, and strategic collaboration skills.

You likely have:

  • A relevant academic background (e.g. business, innovation, finance, or technology).
  • 3–5 years of experience within innovation, entrepreneurship, or partnership development - preferably within a university and/or fintech, finance, or tech-related domains.
  • A solid understanding of startup development and the dynamics of innovation ecosystems.
  • Experience facilitating collaboration preferably between universities, startups, and industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A proactive, structured, and self-driven approach to project and stakeholder management.

We offer

  • A dynamic position at the intersection of academia and industry, where you will shape the fintech innovation agenda at CBS.
  • Access to both CSE’s and Copenhagen Fintech’s networks, programs, and facilities.
  • An active role in national and Nordic collaborations under the Nordic Fintech Center framework.
  • A vibrant, entrepreneurial work environment with colleagues passionate about innovation, research, and startup development.

Workplace & Terms

The position is anchored at CSE, Frederiksberg, with one working day per week at Copenhagen Fintech Lab on Christianshavn and four days per week at CSE.

The position is co-financed by the Copenhagen Fintech Cluster Program 2025–2028. Salary and employment terms follow the applicable CBS agreements.
