I hold a Habilitation from the Université of Versailles, a PhD from Macquarie University, an MBA from the University of New South Wales and a MSc in Electrical Engineering from CentraleSupélec, France.

I believe that business and community leadership, sustainable management practice and personal integrity require analytical and critical methods of inquiry rooted in an appreciation of diverse human values. Such skills require identification and appreciation of the assumptions (especially when these concern society and human nature) implied and conveyed by the terms used when framing problems and solutions.

I worked in industry for 18 years before becoming an academic.
