Experienced lecturer with a proven track record in business ownership and corporate leadership
Mohammad Asim is an external lecturer at Copenhagen Business School and an experienced supply chain and procurement executive with more than 30 years of business experience across recognized companies and industries. As co-owner at Leifwood ApS, he is responsible for sourcing, procurement, logistics, finance, IT, and marketing, drawing on a strong background from senior roles such as Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.
Since 2017, Asim has taught International Sourcing and Strategic Procurement at the Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (HD SCM) and Procurement, Production Planning, Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Performance at the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration Part 1 (HD 1. del). He supervises and examines M.Sc. SCM (cand.merc. SCM) theses as well as HD SCM Business and Final Projects, and several of his supervised students have received CBS awards for Best Business Project and Best Final Project.
Asim has consistently received appreciation letters from CBS since 2017 for achieving very high student satisfaction scores and was nominated for the DSEB Education Award (“Best Teacher”) in 2023. His teaching and supervision build on academia as well as extensive practical experience.
He is dedicated to helping students bridge theory and practice in global supply chains, with a particular focus on strategic procurement, performance improvement, and value creation across the end-to-end supply chain.
