Primary research areas

Sustainable Business Models and Business Model Innovation
I study how organizations can work towards more sustainable business models, through h innovation, value co-creation and stakeholder engagement.
Organizational boundaries and boundary activities
I work with organizational theory, especially boundaries, to understand how, if, and why (not) changes to business models take place.

I work with the notion that sustainable business models can lead to a systematic change towards more mainstreaming of sustainable development.

My research helps:

Organizations to understand their current approaches to sustainability and the challenges and opportunities that their current business model may offer.

Organizations and managers recognize the key stakeholders and their roles in driving business model innovation.
