Primary research areas

Renewable energy
In context of social acceptance, energy justice, community engagement, and energy citizenship.
Behavioral decision-making
How do people make decisions under the influence of cognitive and social processes, especially sustainability-related decisions.
Food waste and innovation
Changing consumer attitudes to upcycled, sub-optimal foods. Studying how novel foods, i.e., alternative proteins, are perceived, accepted and named by consumers.

Exploring cognitive drivers of sustainability & food-related decisions

My research focuses on the cognitive drivers of sustainable behavior, consumer decision making, including food-related choices. I enjoy using a range of quantitative research methods like behavioral experiments, meta-analysis and eye-tracking technique and have published my work in Business Strategy & the Environment, Journal of Experimental Psychology - General, Nature Scientific Reports, and Journal of Social Psychology.

At CBS, I have been part of the WENDY project, studying social acceptance of wind energy projects and designing behavioral interventions.

I have received my PhD from the Department of Management, Aarhus University and have a background in Cognitive Science and Economics. In addition to research, I have a decade long industry experience in Operations and Project Management.

Recent research projects

Horizon Europe project WENDY

The WENDY project studies the drivers of social acceptance of wind farms and has developed multi-spatial planning and impact assessment tools through a comprehensive social, environmental, and technical analysis.

EU project ROSETTA

The project studies marketing standards and their effect on food waste, devising solutions to utilize sub-optimal food products.
