I am interested in exploring the global power dynamics of capitalism and the inequalities, injustices, and social struggles that come with it.
I have an interdisciplinary academic background in political science and global studies, and I am especially anchored in the fields of critical political economy, political ecology, international relations, and development studies. Geographically, I have a strong interest in Latin America, with previous experience from Argentina, Cuba, and Paraguay.
My PhD project treats the topic of lithium extractivism in northwestern Argentina. I am particularly interested in how large-scale extraction of minerals for the green transition causes dispossession in the Global South, how state-capital relations contribute to this, and what and how alternatives to extractivism may emerge.
