I reveal the life-cycle impact of financial decisions.
My research is on household finance, pensions, and retirement savings. I study how people save, invest, borrow, and spend across the life cycle, and why their real-life financial decisions often differ from what economic theory predicts. This matters because such decisions influence not only individual well-being, but also the sustainability of pension systems and financial stability in society.
