Rasmus S. Larsen is a PhD Fellow at Copenhagen Business School, Department of Digitalization, working within the CBS-Danske Bank collaboration on AI, financial services and market leadership under uncertainty. He holds a BSc in Techno-Anthropology from Aalborg University, CPH, and an MSc in Digital Innovation & Management from the IT University of Copenhagen.

His research investigates the strategic and organizational implications of AI investments, examining how they reshape operations, influence governance structures and strengthen strategic capabilities in data-intensive environments. A key part of his work is on the organizational practices and forms of informedness needed to integrate AI in ways that support both operational stability and long-term strategic direction.

Larsen’s work is driven by the role financial institutions play in society, where decisions influence trust, stability and access to financial services. As AI becomes more embedded in daily operations, the impact of these decisions grows, and the research aims to support leaders and teams as they navigate this transition.

Larsen’s academic interests include organizational change, AI-enabled decision-making, digital innovation and the socio-technical dynamics of emerging technologies.
