What you will learn
Public policy will likely become a factor in your future career. There is no exemption to any product or service that is not directly or indirectly regulated. You might want to become an international lobbyist. Or perhaps you like to learn how to work with public policy professionals to accomplish organizational goals effectively? Maybe, your future is to work in an NGO working against private sector engagement in politics or as a member of the media or the academic community who observes lobbyism? This course will help you to:
- Be familiar with theories regarding international lobbying, influence and power.
- Demonstrate knowledge about the dynamics between actors within a business, government, civil society, academia and media.
- Analyze cases and situations of international lobbying and corporate public policy and their implications to participating actors within business, government, civil society, academia and media.
- Assess public policy interventions of governments on businesses in local, national and international contexts.
