Presentation and academic fields

Mads Jensen holds a MSc in Managerial Economics and Business Administration (Cand.Merc. International Business) from Copenhagen Business School, a MBA from the University of Geneva and an EMBA from Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.  

Additionally, he is a CFA Charterholder, CAIA Charterholder, Certified Investment Performance Measuer (CIPM), Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Fields of interest includes portfolio management, corporate governance, risk management, ESG and alternative investments. 

Professional and/or academic experience

Have been an external lecturer at CBS since 2013, twice awarded teacher of the year at HD (FR) (2015 and 2023). 

He started in the financial industry in 1998 as a bond trader before moving into asset management and wealth management in 2001. Here he held several positions in asset management sales, product development and management before setting up his own investment consulting firm in 2012.

Today he is the managing partner of Jentzen & Partners, a leading independent financial advisory firm, and also serve as a professional non-executive director on the board of directors of multiple mutual funds, hedge funds and investment companies across multiple jurisdictions. 

He has published several articles in Finans/Invest.

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

Mads teaches several different classes at CBS. Most recently “Frie Midler” at HD(FR), Corporate Finance (HD elective course) and Sustainable Finance (HD elective course). 

He is also supervisor on HD- and CM theses.
