My re­search ex­am­ines the ex­tent to which par­ti­cip­a­tion in En­tre­pren­eur­i­al Sup­port Or­gan­iz­a­tions (ESOs) e.g., in­cub­at­or and ac­cel­er­at­or pro­grams im­prove the per­form­ance of start-ups and the con­di­tions in which this im­prove­ment is more pro­nounced.
Gender and Mi­grant Entrepreneur­ship
I study the chal­lenges faced by fe­male and mi­grant en­tre­pren­eurs, ex­plor­ing how en­tre­pren­eur­i­al sup­port pro­grams can mit­ig­ate struc­tur­al bar­ri­ers and en­hance in­clus­iv­ity with­in en­tre­pren­eur­i­al eco­sys­tems.

My research lies in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. I am currently conducting research on Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) in Denmark that explores the challenges faced by female and immigrant entrepreneurs, and how participation in entrepreneurship support programs can help address these barriers.  

The project investigates two main questions: (1) the extent to which participation in accelerator programs improve the performance of start-ups and the conditions in which this improvement is more pronounced and (2) the extent to which this effect is more or less pronounced for female vs. male and for migrant vs. native entrepreneurs. 

 

My research helps: 

support organizations reflect on the design of their entrepreneurial education and training initiatives 

policymakers design inclusive support programs that reduce barriers for women and migrant entrepreneurs 

entrepreneurs access support programs that help them foster venture creation and growth
