Cen­ter for Own­er-Man­aged Busi­nesses

Center for Owner-Managed Businesses is dedicated to advancing development and value creation of owner-managed companies. The Center is founded on close collaboration between Copenhagen Business School, the Danish Industry Foundation and the business community.

We develop research-based knowledge and tools, offer educational activities to strengthen leadership and ownership in owner-managed businesses. Our research covers areas such as ownership and governance structures, business succession, leadership and strategy, financing, management reporting, and the next generation of owner-managers.

The development and dissemination of dialogue tools take place in close collaboration between researchers and industry, ensuring that our tools are both research-based and practice-oriented. The Center designs and delivers physical and digital educational activities targeted at owner-managers and their advisors.

We collaborate with researchers, organizations, and companies that share our mission of strengthening the development and value creation of Danish owner-managed businesses.

The Center for Owner-Managed Businesses (COMB) brings together researchers and practitioners studying ownership, leadership, and governance in Danish owner-managed businesses.
