Recon­ci­ling top-down with bot­tom-up in­sti­tu­tio­nal chan­ge: A co-evo­lu­tio­nary per­specti­ve for ad­van­cing the IB con­tri­bu­tion to the SDGs

If we want to understand grand challenges, we have to stop thinking about institutions as either top-down mandated or bottom-up grassroots. The reality of institutional change is an interplay between these bottom-up and top-down perspectives. This paper advances how such a co-evolutionary perspective can work for IB research interested in addressing some of the thorniest problems. We suggest that multinational companies can play an important role in mediating between the top-down and bottom-up perspectives. Link to article
