Course content
The Final Project begins with a workshop to review the project requirements and provide guidance on the project work. The work plan and method for the project work is determined by the student(s). The student(s) prepare(s) a plan for identifying, substantiating and analyzing a complex issue in the subject area of this course (i.e., supply chain management). A specific problem within this subject area will be formulated.
The student(s) will be assigned a supervisor who will provide guidance throughout the process. The supervisor also serves as the examiner. Additional workshops are provided to help the student strengthen the various project-related areas.
The student may receive an additional 2 hours of supervision when taking the final project retake exam. This is only available if the student has used all of the supervision hours allotted for the regular exam and the student has made one attempt at the regular exam.
The purpose of the Final Project is to provide students with an opportunity to focus on solving a problem in the subject area of the course, to which the scientific perspectives, theories, models and methods acquired by the student can be applied.
The aim of the Final Project is to provide students with an overview of the theories, models and methods of the program, to demonstrate the ability to apply them and to reflect on their potential and limitations. In addition, it is designed to train students to work independently on a complex, academically relevant problem. Finally, the goal is for students to receive training in communicating a complex issue in the area of the course, method, analysis, and conclusion, both in written and oral communication.
