Si­mon Rolien Bach Nielsen

External lecturer at Department of Organization with CBS since 2009. Interested in all phenomena’s that influence organizational dynamics and especially human relations and interactions. I am curious, in an applied and action-oriented perspective, to see how post-modern and social constructive theories – no matter the grounds of science theory – can and are working together in modern real-life organizations.

Academic fields I teach in – from different science and theoretical perspectives: Organizational strategy, culture, dynamics, micro-processes, power, leader- and followership, HR (full scale = full employee cycle), structure, etc.

Professional and/or academic experience

• Part of top-management in Copenhagen Merchants Group, supporting the strategic Organization & People agenda across more than 60 Group companies.
• From 2010-2021, being part of the international consultancy Mercuri Urval, latest in a function as international equity Partner and Team Leader for the Copenhagen branch (private sector). Focus: Executive search, coaching and a variety of organizational projects.
• Earlier various commercial and top-management roles in miscellaneous companies (Sensement, Codehouse Group, Falck, etc.).

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

I have supervised Master thesis’ – both on Master programmes (mainly: SOL & HRM/Soc.) and Executive Programmes (HD) – since 2010 (due to time, max. 5 a year). I supervise in a broad field of theories of subjects.
