Primary research areas
I analyze power structures to strengthen democracy
I study elites and morality, examining how influential actors shape values, set agendas, and define what is seen as legitimate in society. This work highlights how moral authority and elite influence affect politics and everyday life.
I also explore democracy in the context of technology, media and digital society. By studying tech professionals, digital platforms, and social media, I investigate how power and inequality are reshaped in digital times — and how democratic practices can adapt.
My research combines advanced quantitative methods with elite interviews and historical analysis, connecting contemporary challenges with long-term developments. I coordinate the ORGADIVA Research Group and host The BHL Review podcast, creating spaces for collaboration, dialogue, and public engagement.
