Elite Power in the digital economy
I study who holds power in digital societies - the elites and organizations shaping AI, tech infrastructure, and democratic governance. My work combines relational quantitative methods with political and economic sociology to understand how digital power is built, organized, and exercised

I study AI and tech power to strengthen democracy

I am a political sociologist studying power in digital societies. My research focuses on the elites, corporations, and networks that shape how AI and digital infrastructure are built, governed, and controlled - and what this means for democracy and social inequality.

My work sits at the intersection of elite sociology, political economy, and digital studies. I use relational and quantitative methods to maps who holds power, how they are organised, and how they access the institutions that write the rules of the digital economy. Recent projects include a systematic study of corporate access to EU AI regulation, B2B AI enterprises, an analysis of US ownership and board structures across Europe's top tech companies, and a study of the meritocracy myth among tech founders.
