I am captivated by the promise of robotics and AI in envisioning a better world

Grounded in sociology, anthropology, and philosophy, my research contributes to the fields of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), roboethics, and the sociology of artificial agents. This work is informed by a theoretical engagement with symbolic interactionism and phenomenological sociology, which shape my understanding of meaning-making in human–AI encounters. I particularly enjoy using ethnographic research methods and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders involved in the design, development, and use of AI-enabled systems. I have also been involved in several policy-oriented initiatives in the area of Responsible Robotics and AI, including with the European Commission and the United Nations. Through my work, I aim to foster socially engaged perspectives on robotics and AI that reflect the complexities of human everyday life and promote meaningful collaboration between humans and machines.
