I’m driven by responsible mining for a just energy transition
My research interests
In the light of the growing geopolitical emphasis on energy security and access to ‘critical’ minerals, my research explores the dual role of renewable energy companies in achieving a just transition. On one hand, renewable energy companies must work towards resilient mineral supply chains to enable the build-out of renewable energy. On the other, renewable energy companies must ensure that these mineral supply chains are responsible, so that the energy transition does not come at the expense of human rights or the environment. I am particularly interested in how companies implement human rights and environmental due diligence, and how these processes can be aligned with their efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience.
Background
I hold a MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen, where I specialised in International Relations and Conflict Resolution. Prior to joining CBS, I gained practical experience with human rights and environmental due diligence in the mining sector as well as at NCP Denmark, the Danish National Contact Point to the OECD Guidelines.
