A financial economist curious about how the world works

My research focuses on banking, monetary policy, financial crises, liquidity, and money markets, typically taking an empirical approach of applying methods of causal inference to large and complex micro-data sets. My research generally aims to help answer questions such as:

How do new financial stability risks compare with more traditional ones and how can policy best reduce their risk and impact on the broader financial system and economy?

How have central banks changed with the evolution of the financial system?
