I research how investors learn, perform, and shape financial markets

My research lies at the intersection of behavioral finance, household finance, and asset pricing. I study how households and institutions process information and learn, how systematic biases and participation and trading frictions shape portfolio choices, and how these micro behaviors aggregate to influence prices, risk, and market efficiency.

I investigate the welfare and policy implications of these forces for households, asset managers, and regulators, employing large administrative and financial data together with methods from applied microeconometrics, causal inference, and machine learning.

My goal is to provide credible, interpretable evidence on how behavior and frictions affect performance and outcomes for these stakeholders, and to translate these insights into general principles that improve choice environments, enhance product design and portfolio management, and inform evidence-based policy and supervision.
