Primary research areas

User Behavior & Behavior Change
I study how user interfaces and design features shape user decisions and behavior. My research shows how digital technologies can be designed to encourage healthier, more sustainable, and more effective practices.
Data-Driven Service Innovation
I examine how organizations use data and analytics to improve digital services. My research shows how firms create value through personalized offerings, seamless channel integration, and new forms of customer interaction.
Sustainability and the Circular Economy
I study how IT supports the shift to a circular economy in sectors such as health devices and textiles. I focus on how digital technology such as digital product passports enhance traceability, support reuse/resale, and ensure lifecycle transparency.

I explore digital paths to sustainable innovation

My research supports the transition to a greener and more sustainable future. I study how digital technologies influence human behavior and how they can be designed to guide healthier choices, foster well-being, and reduce environmental impact. I combine scientific rigor with societal relevance to address one of today’s most pressing challenges: sustainability.

I focus on two key areas:

User Behavior & Behavior Change – how the design of apps, platforms, and wearables shapes decisions, habits, and everyday actions. I study how digital nudges and interface features can guide healthier and more sustainable choices and support lasting behavior change.

Sustainability & Circular Economy – how IT systems enable more sustainable lifecycles across industries. I examine how tools such as digital product passports increase transparency, support reuse and repair, and make circularity a practical part of digital innovation.

My research helps companies design digital systems that promote sustainable practices, create better user experiences, and unlock innovation across industries such as health and textiles.

My work has appeared, among others, in highly regarded journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and Electronic Markets and has been presented at leading conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems. I am currently Associate Editor of the European Journal of Information Systems
