Adaptive Governance for an Interconnected Techno-Moral Future
My work, rooted in political philosophy and theory, seeks to develop a flexible and adaptable governance framework to navigate the evolving techno-moral landscape shaped by the rapid proliferation of AI algorithms in our society.
Adopting a non-ideal theoretical and methodological approach, this framework integrates the diverse and often competing needs of stakeholders within a multi-level system of checks and balances. These mechanisms help navigate the moral complexities of an interconnected world, establish ethical constraints and safeguards for the development and deployment of algorithms, while remaining adaptable to future techno-social developments - ensuring safety and fairness without stifling innovation.
My research is guided by (but not limited to) the following broad objectives:
Advance AI ethics and governance by integrating normative and political theory, ensuring relevance to global and evolving real-world contexts.
Explore practical value elicitation methods to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, adding a tangible dimension.
Propose a framework that reconciles stakeholder needs while navigating trade-offs inherent in competing values and interests within AI governance.
