Course content
The purpose of an academic internship course is to combine theory with professional practice learning experience in a company/organization that works with problems of relevance to the Cand.merc. in Economics and Business Administration (CM.EBA) core areas. Ultimately, the course should enable the student to critically reflect on the internship experience from the perspective of the knowledge acquired on a CM.EBA. study programme.
The academic internship course spans 10-12 weeks, requiring 32-37 hours per week. Students apply acquired knowledge in a company/organization, collect relevant empirical data, and reflect on their practical experience. Concurrently, they prepare an academic project report.
The student must find a CBS supervisor and establish a contract with a relevant company/organization to facilitate the preparation of the project report.
Before the internship starts, a preliminary overview of the internship project must be submitted to the academic supervisor. Specific schedules are discussed with the supervisor. It is a requirement to collect relevant data/information for the report during the internship and to update the supervisor on this development, so that the necessary information is collected for an academic exploration in the internship report.
Internship cannot be carried out in your own company or in a company where you are employed.
