Project Leadership
About the course
Course content
In today’s project-driven economy, projects have become essential to strategic change and long-term development. By 2027, nearly 88 million people will work in project management, with project-based activities valued at $20 trillion (Nieto-Rodriguez, 2021). Organizations must adapt faster, whether IT projects to digitalize and rip the benefits of emerging opportunities from Artificial Intelligence, or to transform the business to meet its 2050 sustainable pledges. Projects are key vehicles for designing and executing strategy.
However, managing projects is challenging, as many fail to deliver strategic benefits. This course draws on extensive research, both seminal and emerging, and discusses practices related to participating, leading and governing projects. Participants will explore how to align projects with business goals, attract resources, and ensure smooth execution. By understanding these distinct yet interconnected practices, you’ll develop the skills to ask the right questions, support projects, and drive success. The program spans two half-days. The first will focus on practices related to the management of a project, and the second day with the management of multiple projects.
