In this presentation, Michelle Bastian discusses her approach to environmental temporalities and the ways this has been explored through desk-based and field-based research. Focusing particularly on her long-term research project on phenology (the study in ecology of seasonal lifecycle timing in plants and animals), she explores how a field philosophy approach can open new interdisciplinary dialogues with the sciences.
