Student Assistant(s) for research project moral elites
Copenhagen Business School’s Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL) is hiring one or two Student Assistants for the ERC research project “MORALITES: The Historical Positioning of Civil Society Leaders in National Moral Economies” led by Associate Prof. Anders Sevelsted at CBS. The project is running for 5 years until the end of 2028. The project is a historical comparative project that investigates the “moral elites” that created the welfare regimes of Denmark, UK, Italy, and Poland.
We seek a self-organized student with basic knowledge of Excel. The student assistant(s) will be tasked with coding biographical data for the Danish and/or UK cases. The Student Assistant will be working in excel and will receive a thorough introduction to the work. The working hours will be around 7-10 hours per week.
To be considered for the position, you should be a student with an interest in the social sciences.
Concrete tasks will vary but will include:
- Organizing and coding data
- Working with the research team on challenges in organizing and coding data material
You are expected to work 7-10 hours per week on average, and there is some flexibility with regards to current tasks (which can vary during the project period) and the assistant's needs due to exams etc. There will be an option to use project data for bachelor’s or master’s thesis. The salary follows the current collective agreement for student assistants.
Salary and terms of employment
Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).
The salary currently ranges between DKK 142,98 and DKK 149,99 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution.
