Department of Operations Management is looking for a student assistant for a temporary position

Introduction 

The Department of Operations Management is looking for a dedicated student who can assist with research support on the in-house project, MARIS. 

You will become part of a department that has about 30 Danish and international faculty, and around 70 part-time lecturers and emeriti, as well as an administration team of 8 people.

Tasks in the position 

The MARIS project is developing an interactive web platform for maritime chokepoint scenario analysis. The platform will cover a number of global chokepoints and your job will be to work on scenario development, KPI definition, and A/B testing.

Requirements for experience/qualifications and personal skills 

We are looking for a structured and proactive student assistant who can oversee different processes at the same time and follow cases to completion. It is important to us that you are approachable and interested in joining a team. In addition, we value the following qualifications:

  • You are a user of the Office package in general, including Excel and Power Point in particular
  • You have English skills at a level that corresponds to the content of the position
  • You are familiar with the use of Large Language Models for professional work
  • You have the opportunity to work 10-15 hours spread over 2-3 days a week

The department is part of the Solberg Plads Campus area, and here you will have permanent space in an office.

Salary and terms of employment 

Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement). 

The salary currently ranges between DKK 142.98 and DKK 149.99 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components. 

It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution. 

The employment is time-limited for the period from 1 April to 31 December 2026.
